How we set this up

Gift cards do three quiet jobs at once. They're cash flow up front. They recruit new customers, because cards get given to people who've never walked in. And they raise tickets, because almost nobody lands exactly on the card balance.

The setup decides whether the program earns. Cards need to sell at the counter in one tap, redeem across every register, and report balances cleanly. If you're switching systems, existing card balances need to migrate so no customer gets stranded mid-gift.

Sell the card in December, see the redeemer in February, keep the difference all year.

Industry data is consistent: most redeemers spend meaningfully above the card balance, and a chunk of balances are never redeemed at all. The program costs little or nothing to run. For a local business this is the highest-margin shelf space you own: the four inches next to the register.

What do gift cards cost to run?

E-Gift runs without per-transaction fees; Factor4 is quoted by feature set. Card printing is the main real cost, and we'll spec the right quantity so you don't over-order.

Can customers buy gift cards online?

With Factor4, yes: digital cards sell from a link on your site or social pages and redeem at the counter.

I have cards out there from my old system. What happens to them?

Balances migrate. Both programs support importing existing card balances so every outstanding gift still works on day one.

Do gift cards work across my locations?

Can I add loyalty points without a separate app?
