Federal Way · serving Seattle & Tacoma since 2010

Your processor is skimming more than you think.

We're local brokers, not a processor. We get you a lower credit card processing rate by making the big processors compete for your business. Send one statement and we'll show you exactly what you're overpaying, free.

The problem

The statement is confusing on purpose.

Processing statements are built so you stop reading. That's where these live:

PCI compliance fee
$19.95–$34.95/mo

Charged whether or not anyone helps you with compliance.

Statement fee
$7.95–$15/mo

A fee for printing the bill that contains the fees.

Equipment lease
$30–$100/mo

For a terminal that costs a few hundred dollars to buy. Forever.

Rate creep
quiet % bumps

Your rate inches up over time and the notice is buried on page four.

We read these line by line for a living. Send us yours and we'll translate it, free →

The broker difference

A processor wants you on their rates. We make them compete for you.

Northwest Payment Brokers has been in Federal Way since 2010. We sit on your side of the table: we shop multiple processors, negotiate the rate, install the equipment, and stay as the local people who pick up when something breaks.

They went above and beyond... spent several days working with us and was even able to get our funds expedited. Oh, and then there's the fact that they are saving us thousands of dollars a year!
Chris Garcia · Frankie's Pizza
I was skeptical that they could save me money. They assured me that they could, and they did... If I needed something they were always willing to show up at our office and help us.
BB · Kanon Electric
I now know that having a broker to fight your corner is key. The only time I ever had an issue, the team went to bat for us and made sure we didn't lose money... I can gladly hang up on all of those payment processing cold calls now, thank god!

Do you know your effective rate?

Total fees divided by total card sales, from one monthly statement. That single number tells you whether you have a problem. Here's how to read it:

Under 1.5%

Healthy. Someone negotiated well for you.

1.5% to 2.5%

Worth investigating. There's usually money here.

Over 2.5%

Red flag. You're likely overpaying by thousands a year.

Fair questions.

What does a payment broker actually do?

A processor sells you their rates. A broker shops multiple processors, negotiates on your behalf, and presents a side-by-side comparison. We get paid by the processor you choose, not by you, and our incentive is keeping you happy enough to stay.

What does the free rate comparison cost?

Nothing, and there's no obligation. Send one recent statement and you'll have a plain-English breakdown within 24 hours.

Do I have to change my POS system?

Usually not. Most of our programs work with the equipment you already have. When new hardware does make sense, the terminal is free.

Am I locked into a contract?

No long-term contracts. We keep your business by being worth keeping, not by trapping you.

Is dual pricing allowed in Washington?

Yes. Both prices are posted before the sale, which is the approach the card brands accept. We handle the signage and setup so it's done right.

What size business do you work with?

Most of our clients process between $10K and $250K a month: restaurants, retail, salons, trades and professional services across the Seattle-Tacoma metro.
